Singapore Is Calling
/After finishing my first ever marathon, Melbourne Marathon, I felt awesome, like I can do and conquer anything... then one day, some two weeks later, I woke up and realised that there are no big running goals waiting... and my mood went all way down.
It is still a little bit of mystery to me why on earth I signed up for this particular one, not some local Australian one and at least a few months ahead. No, still no idea. But somehow it sparked that overwhelming excitement inside me and I knew I really, really want to run this marathon.
I’ve been to Singapore many times and I knew it is a hot, hot, hot and humid place. But then, I always loved the heat, however, that was before I started running. I think, like with most things on my FB, it just appeared there in the form of some advertisement one day and it just hit me in the right moment.
Nevertheless, I decided to go to Singapore to run a marathon. Alone, leaving my husband with our 6 years old son for 5 days first time ever!!! You know the kind of Mummy’s holidays with a twist - a few hours of an extreme exhaustion - something Mums can understand any way.
